As you’ve probably guessed from my last shopping bag post, I love All Saints. Well, I was there last week and I absolutely love how they do up their shops –they have these amazing vintage sewing machines covering the shop walls from top to bottom..
it’s all so ‘cool’ – though maybe a little too cool sometimes … at least with the locks on their dressing rooms… the locks are these big metal things which can be unlocked from both inside and outside the room and there’s very rarely any sales people anywhere near the dressing rooms that are unisex.
So while I was trying something on this guy opened the door and walked right in and I was definitely not decently dressed – I did not know what to do – I just sort of froze mid way through trying on a dress – it must have been 2 seconds but it felt like forever. The poor boy was really embarrassed as well – he just sort of mumbled something, turned around and slammed the door behind him. I quickly put on my clothes and walked out hoping not to see him but he was waiting outside with a proper apology and he was just so charming and he asked if he could buy me a cup of coffee to apologize properly. He was about 5 years younger than me but really cute so I said okay. The coffee was so much fun – I never spoke to him after that but it was a really nice afternoon.
Oh and I bought these two amazing dresses… The first one (called Pennsylvania rage dress) looks like a sweet, fairly ordinary summer dress (or winter if worn with tights) but check out the back …. It’s super hot!!!!
Perfect to wear for my friend’s birthday drinks at a pub this weekend.
The second (the Jove Corset dress) looks fairly ordinary in this picture but the way it’s been designed is like Architecture!! It has this amazing corset thing inside which though a little hard to get zipped up looks fabulous when worn … it pushes you up and squeezes you in all the right places. The dress is a bit confusing to put on … couldn’t quite figure out what to do with the tie belt as it actually starts from the shoulder and then loops around the waist …but once I figured it out I loved how it had that amazing All Saints edginess.
